Lots of things that I have'nt done :s
Alright, so I haven't been able to upload many many many many many many many things/posts that I said I would.
Haven't been updating my blog lately. Getting lazy these days.
Time flies when you're having fun I guess, thus the lack of time to update this rotting blog.
Nevertheless, perhaps I'll do a show review on my latest anime I've watched - K-ON!
( 2012 reviews are everywhere, so I don't think I have to do that )
Maybe I'll introduce a new game that I'm currently playing -- or maybe not.
Then again, December's coming. ( 17 minutes from this blog post )
Oh yes, there's a new album I'm in love with. It's CODE SPEED EXIT TRANCE.
Large album with many parts. Contains the remix of many songs.
I'll fill in the details in the next few blogpost.

After the rain...
Alright, you'd be seeing this phrase almost everywhere on every 'O' level student's blog during this period - " THE 'O' LEVELS ARE FINALLY OVER! "
Yup, it's finally over and the reason I can celebrate is that no matter how much I count, it is IMPOSSIBLE for me to get over 20 points ( L1B4), and if I'm lucky I'll get less than 15(L1B4).
Oh well, I'm going off to Malaysia, Genting today. I'll be sure to ( try ) and take pictures.....if I bring along a camera or buy one on spot.
Nevertheless, this blog will be up and running again after I come back. Look forward to my wonderful misadventures where Murphy's law never fails to (further) screw up my life.
Oh well, we'll keep in touch in MSN while I'm at my destination.
P.S. - Nothing really much happened during the rest of my days, besides watching 2012 with the usual 5-1 boy's gang. I'll give my movie review on 2012 after I get back, maybe I'll watch a show when at my destination.

Game review : Monster Hunter 2g/United

Monster Hunter places the player in the role of an up-and-coming hunter who must accomplish various quests to achieve glory. Armors, weapons, and other items are created from the remains of slain monsters by carving off their horns, scales and bones. Monster Hunter plays in a similar fashion to Phantasy Star Online allowing the player to team up with up to three other hunters online to take down stronger monsters.

Alright, this game contributes to one of the reasons why you should get a PSP. If you're looking for a game that'll REALLY stay in your PSP, this is the game for you. Chances are you won't be clearing the game pretty soon. ( no cheating ! tsk tsk, downloading savedata spoils the fun ) It took me MONTHS to clear the game.
If you're looking for a game to play while your teacher isn't looking, then this IS NOT THE GAME FOR YOU. This game requires pure concentration - lose it and you'll die in the game.
The game system is pretty..well, limited. You go on quests, kill monsters, get their loot and craft weapons and the cycle repeats. 90% of the time in game you'll be just finding items to upgrade your weapons/armors ( that includes questing, mining, farming, training school, etc ) and the other 10% you'll be either in the kitchen thinking of what to eat or combining items.
As for majority of the game, you'll be partaking in quests. There are various kinds of quests - namely Slaying bosses, gathering quests and slaying minions. For most of the slaying bosses and minions quest, you get 45 minutes. When you start out ( 1 or 2 stars ), 45mins seems to be alot of time when you can actually complete it within 5mins but when you advance ( 5 or 6 stars ), that 45mins WILL NOT BE ENOUGH ( unless you hunt as a team ).
Now, moving on, after completing quests, you get the monster's loots and items. You NEED them in order to make stronger weapons and armors. Now when I wrote that I needed MONTHS to clear the game, I certainly was not kidding. In order to count completion, apart from clearing ALL quests, you'll need to craft ALL weapons and upgrade your farm to the max. With +- 6/7 weapon elements and armors to choose from and weapons ranging from Great sword to Heavy Bowguns ( pardon me for my poor memory or my laziness to check rather ) which totals to 11 different kinds of weapon to choose from.
Great swords, Long swords, Sword and shields, Dual swords ( I like this best ), Lance, Gunlance, Hammer, Hunting Horn, Bow, Heavy bowgun and Light bowgun.
Other than that, anything I missed out are just the bits and pisces of the game I never really bothered to find ( like fishing, mining, upgrading your farm etc. )
Up till this part of the review, I'd give it a 6/10. What boosts it to 8.5/10 would be...
WiFi playing.

WiFi playing with friends really took the game to a whole new level. You do the same shit - killing monsters, gathering items but now, WITH FRIENDS ( or enemies ) !
The maximum amount of friends who can play with you would be 4. Imagine that - the monster would be trapped in a deadlock. Then again, I'm sure that the monster does improve it's abilities when there are more people ( x4 the health, maybe? )
Once you and your friend try out the WiFi and quest together, you'll always keep asking for more. With around 50+ ( more or less ) dragons/wyverns and other shits to kill, you'll never find yourself bored with this game.
Afterall...this IS the most popular game for PSP.

Chapter 63 - The change of hearts.

He continued on the blood-stained path. The Battle Of 7 was drawing closer. Agony and misery is what he do not need. With his remaining band, he continued to lead...time was limited though. He held on to his hope...he held no grudge towards the few who turned tail...as they are...his Guardians...
Lithium ( following the code names, to protect identity ) knew he could not last long. Just one week back, Lead and Sulfur seemed to be one of the trusted in his band...and just overnight, Lead stabbed Lithium and ran off from the band, planning his next move.
Lithium understood that however much Lead hated him due to THAT incident, he could not bring himself to hate him.
As for the others, Lithium knew that his leadership skills was deteriorating. Sulfur took up the fight for leadership and when refused, he left with Lead. It is unknown about where they are now...except for the fact that Lithium knew this would not be the end.
Seeing his wound, Lithium wonders if the others would follow suit against him...
After all, the Festival will be held a few days from now and Lithium knew that only hostility and tension will rise between them. Sulfur may not be pleased to see Lithium there...
As the sun rose, Lithium continued the path...alone. Taking any more damage and seeing this tearing his band apart would lead to Lithium's end.
What he needs now is not this misery...as the Battle Of 7 draws near.

Daigo Kobayashi (Masahiro Motoki) is a devoted cellist in an orchestra that has just been dissolved and now finds him without a job. Daigo decides to move back to his old hometown with his wife to look for work and start over. He answers a classified ad entitled “Departures” thinking it is an advertisement for a travel agency only to discover that the job is actually for a “Nokanshi” or “encoffiner”, a funeral professional who prepares deceased bodies for burial and entry into the next life. While his wife and others despise the job, Daigo takes a certain pride in his work and begins to perfect the art of “Nokanshi,” acting as a gentle gatekeeper between life and death, between the departed and the family of the departed. The film follows his profound and sometimes comical journey with death as he uncovers the wonder, joy and meaning of life and living.
At first, Daigo’s wife and others refuse to accept Daigo’s disgusting profession. After they need an encoffinment service, they finally give their respect and understanding to Daigo. The job is so meaningful but not everybody have the will to do it. I do respect Daigo’s career as an encoffiner.

If you had read my show reviews then you will like this show. This show portrays ( almost ) the same meaning as Shigeshoshi ( The Embalmer ) except that now we see the life of an Encoffiner but all in the same industry.
This show is very touching. Advisable to watch with your family or a girlfriend ( and watch as her tears drop ) XD.
Death is NOT a very simple topic to chat about and majority of us would prefer to shun the topic of Death itself.
This show captures the positive moments after death and...don't you want to see what happens when YOU die?
Very touching indeed with a fair share of comedy.

• The members of the public (participants) collect a cosplayer card at the registration counter.

• The participant can also vote for their most favorite cosplayer by ticking on the cosplayer stamp.
• Each cosplayer will be given a unique stamp to chop on the cosplay card.
• The cosplayers move around the venue and interact with the participants. It is important to give a good experience to the participants so that they will vote for the cosplayer.
• The most popular cospayer is the one which has the most participants vote.
The competition time is 3.30-5.30pm.
Transportation from Downtown East to the Iluma(before the competition 3pm gather) and back to Downtown East(6pm earliest) will be provided for the participants. [in view of Cosfest 09 being on the same day]
CCA points for NYP students and Media coverage (YOG publication) are other incentives to look forward to.
All participants will receive goodie bags and certificates of participation for the Singapore Youth Olympic Games (YOG) CAN! festival.

Why won't they give us that 1 extra week?
I refer to CNA's poll comments : " H1N1 cases could rise further as students return to schools after holidaying in flu-hit countries. How should schools cope? "
It is evident from the poll that 89% of the voters choose to extend the school holidays BUT the government rejects and plan to resume normal plans. The question is - why? With currently 454 cases of H1N1 in Singapore, why won't the government extend the holidays?
Personally, I don't think there is anything to lose by extending the holidays. The teachers get an extra week of rest, the students would generally be happier, more time spent with their families, lowering the number of people infected ( or TO BE infected ), more free time and the list goes on...
BUT ! The government had choose to go on with the plan to resume school per normal. We all know that the immunity system of a child would be much weaker than an adult's. Must Singapore wait until SOMEBODY dies of H1N1 then declare a holiday?
I, as a student myself, would find that it is wise to extend the holidays as it could contain the H1N1 virus, protect and severely cancel out the risk of an outbreak in schools. ( Then again, who am I kidding? :P )
Sadly, I have no power to make the decision to extend the school holidays or not. Knowing typical Singaporeans, their " kiasi-ness " tells me that they'll send their school weather or not if they've been to holiday on an infected country. Heck, with this much cases ( more than SARS ), the whole of Singapore are doomed to be infected with H1N1.

June 23rd update - Trip
The sun was shining bright on the morning of that Tuesday. The sky was cloudless, looking up to be a seemingly endless region of the color sapphire. The air was humid as always and the heat was beating down on us before we had even started. The calm waters gently hit against rocky walls. The sound of the sea waters rolling coupled up with the breeze of the sea filled me up with enthusiasm. I skipped happily, leading with a party of three to our destination, as I held the rods in my grip. The stroll to our destination was long but it was soothed by the calming sound of the waves as we enjoyed the scenic view. As we passed through the gates, we walked through the aisle, welcomed by fellow fishermen of all age, race and religion. Labrador Jetty was more vibrant than the last time I visited, five years ago.
I placed the rods down and took a breather after the long stroll. We seek refuge from the sweltering heat of the sun inside a small shade area. My father prepared the nets and the rods, while Daniel and Elvin followed me to scout the area to get a brief insight on what we may be catching. Unsurprisingly, the fishes caught were miserable in size. Nevertheless, it was their first time on the jetty and probably their first salt-water fishing trip. The entire atmosphere was just friendly and calming, unlike staying cropped up in my room going stale. The sun was all time bright but thankfully we had, although little, protection against the heat.
My father prepared 5 crab nets and 2 fishing rods. We started out with the crab nets, placing it in various places of the jetty, except the aisle. 15 minutes later when all the nets were placed, I reeled mine in and surprisingly caught a fish - a 1 foot long ( estimated ) Puffer fish. That piqued Daniel's and Elvin's interest but unfortunately that seemed to be the only catch for the day - by Yours Truly.
Other than that, the fishes outsmarted Elvin and Daniel into snagging the bait without getting caught but it was nevertheless fun.
Time really flies when you're having fun; they say. What I had learn that day was the bitter truth that all good things come to an end. I was indeed the piece de resistance of my June holidays - that is, if you count 3 days out of an entire month a holiday, as I still have to return to school for DnT almost everyday. Fact is, I was supposed to return to school EVERYDAY ( well, weekdays but you get the point ) but I had unofficially took 3 day's leave.
That day was the best day of my June Holidays 2009. Hopefully, there will be another fishing trip at the end of the year...just hopefully.

UPDATE 3 - Game review : Crimson Gem Saga
Game title : Crimson Gem Saga
Platform : PSP
Genre : RPG

Alright fans of Final Fantasy would love this game. This game is something like a merge of Mana Khemia ( leveling and exploring ), Final Fantasy ( battling ) and Jenne d'arc ( cutscenes )
For those looking for a light RPG game to play - this is the game for you. I completed the game UNDER 60 HOURS. There are little quests to do, little monsters to kill and 70% of the time you would just be running around in dungeons and getting killed.
A plus side to the game would be that there are almost no " pests " in the game. Every monster encounter would be bound to give you a challenge. This would last until you reach to a very high level of the game where normal monsters would pose no threat to you. I won't post any spoilers but be warned - the monsters you are facing would definably be of challenge. It won't be just a walk in the park or taking candy from a baby - the monsters could potentially ONE HIT KO your characters - even when they are at level 70 or so ( 80+ should be safe ). It's perfect for those who are tired of going into a sure-win battle and would be sure to keep you thinking of your next move - as one wrong move would cause your entire team to die.
You might be thinking - what about the bosses?
Let me put it in one word - Impossible. ( ok, not exactly impossible, but rather you could spend like 1 hour fighting the boss - in later parts of the game, of course. )
The story line is another plus point. It's hilarious and entertaining. However, the ending was...I'll stop here and let you find out the ending.
The leveling skill system was the most unique - it follows something like mana khemia - a skill tree. You kill monsters - get SP and pump SP into your skill tree to UNLOCK AND ADD that skill. Some skills are hilarious though.
The graphics are nicely done. I couldn't say anything about it though. I don't play by the graphics. Don't expect any 3D skills to come out while you're fighting. It's 2D throughout the game. I didn't take notice of the sound too, sadly.

1st update - Essay on a very major event which happened 3 years ago and affected my life till now.
Three years is, undoubtedly, a very long time for all of us. Many events took place over the three years. For me, a special side-story had taken place over the three years and today, that story has came to an end. Although sad, life still goes on.
I had my braces done three years ago. The saga started on the start of my secondary one days and ended on the last year. This saga had dragged on for almost my entire secondary school life and finally it ends today.
When I was still a child, my two front teeth would be the talk of many. I was nicknamed " Bugs Bunny " or " Rabbit ". The malays would usually call me " Gigi " ( Malay for Teeth ). I must admit I hated those nicknames they call me but then again, those teethes of mine inspired many to start a conversation with me, though, I won't say it's a very polite chat.
" Why your teeth so big? " was what I often heard during my primary school days.
I was the " number one customer " to my primary school dental clinic. I had to skip plenty of lessons just to maintain those teeth of mine.
Finally, I was referred to National Dental Clinic to get my teeth right. I must say, it certainly wasn't pleasant. First I had this glass thingy glued on to my teeth. It made it VERY hard for me to chew food. I survived on malt drinks everyday. One day, I got bored and used my tongue to fiddle with it and it came off ( or rather, it BROKE off ).
Then I was given a pink rubber mouth guard. I wore it to school everyday. Every time I opened my mouth, that pink rubber would show and people will go thinking that I'm some sort of weirdo - but that's not the worst. ( see picture below )
Then I was referred to ANOTHER doctor and I was given a headgear to wear for 6 months. I wore it almost everyday - even to school. All eyes were on me. I looked like a complete weirdo and still believe that many people would have that impression of me that way.
Was it embarrassing to wear that to school every day? No.
For once, I actually got respected! I lied to them that it's fixed and glued to my teeth and faked a story that the pain was excruciating but actually it was, in reality, a different story all together. Nonetheless, people stopped bullying me as I schematically planned out everything. I got their pity by faking the pain that my gums were being pierced and everything worked out well.
( Right, I know that some of YOU are reading this blog. It's 3 years since that happened, so let it rest. )
Then it was time to move on to the piece de resistance. The highlight of my teenage years. The event that changed my teenage life - Braces. I underwent several " rites " and stuffs like that - extracting my teeth, elastics, headgear and the list goes on.
I was to report back every month and that would obstruct my studying. It was so often that the school committee had to tell me : " If we see your dental timing like this again, we will not let you leave the school ! You're paying - so why can't you choose to postpone the date ? "
Right. Like I could. The thing was - I was once again on both side of the fence. The dental center WANTS me to go so that they could maintain and finish my problem as soon as possible whereas the school WANTS me to stay and study.
Guess who takes all the blame? Yes, me.
I did not regret though. I must admit I enjoyed the early dismissal. I get to eat Macdonalds in the car for lunch, or else, a famous hawker center around the dental clinic vicinity.
My dentist was a female in her 20's. You could say I enjoyed my experience with her ( don't think dirty now ). I don't know if it's just me or other patients would always think that their dentist are the best. I think it's a shared experience - whosoever that treated you would make you think that he or she is the best around.
I would like to express my gratitude to Dr. Florence Wong. Out of due respect, I shall not reveal anything else about her.
After my dental treatment - I would always talk a stroll down the road to reach Chinatown where I would visit my supplier, Mr Kenneth from Pan-In-The-Box. I would visit him whenever I have the chance to. The walk from the dental clinic to Chinatown Point was an enjoyable one. I would experience life in the city every time I walked around there. Suntec city could be seen in the horizon.
Back on story - today is the day I took out my braces AND the day my dentist had to leave National Dental Center. It was so coincidental, maybe too coincidental, that she had to leave on the day I took my braces out. I was planning on postponing the appointment this morning but fortunately, I changed my mind last minute and got to bid her farewell. Although sad that she won't be my dentist anymore - at least I know we will meet again someday. She really has done quite a good job with my teeth - I stopped getting nicknames and people would say that my teeth looks better nowadays.
I will remember this day as it caused a huge impact to my life. Imagine the possibilities if I did not had my teeth fixed - I would looked like a complete idiot. It would rot and decay. She ( and the whole of NDC ) had came to my life and saved my teeth. Now my teeth are one of my greatest assets and I'm damn proud of them.

Then I was given a pink rubber mouth guard. I wore it to school everyday. Every time I opened my mouth, that pink rubber would show and people will go thinking that I'm some sort of weirdo - but that's not the worst. ( see picture below )
Then I was referred to ANOTHER doctor and I was given a headgear to wear for 6 months. I wore it almost everyday - even to school. All eyes were on me. I looked like a complete weirdo and still believe that many people would have that impression of me that way.
Was it embarrassing to wear that to school every day? No.
For once, I actually got respected! I lied to them that it's fixed and glued to my teeth and faked a story that the pain was excruciating but actually it was, in reality, a different story all together. Nonetheless, people stopped bullying me as I schematically planned out everything. I got their pity by faking the pain that my gums were being pierced and everything worked out well.
( Right, I know that some of YOU are reading this blog. It's 3 years since that happened, so let it rest. )
Then it was time to move on to the piece de resistance. The highlight of my teenage years. The event that changed my teenage life - Braces. I underwent several " rites " and stuffs like that - extracting my teeth, elastics, headgear and the list goes on.
I was to report back every month and that would obstruct my studying. It was so often that the school committee had to tell me : " If we see your dental timing like this again, we will not let you leave the school ! You're paying - so why can't you choose to postpone the date ? "
Right. Like I could. The thing was - I was once again on both side of the fence. The dental center WANTS me to go so that they could maintain and finish my problem as soon as possible whereas the school WANTS me to stay and study.
Guess who takes all the blame? Yes, me.
I did not regret though. I must admit I enjoyed the early dismissal. I get to eat Macdonalds in the car for lunch, or else, a famous hawker center around the dental clinic vicinity.
My dentist was a female in her 20's. You could say I enjoyed my experience with her ( don't think dirty now ). I don't know if it's just me or other patients would always think that their dentist are the best. I think it's a shared experience - whosoever that treated you would make you think that he or she is the best around.
I would like to express my gratitude to Dr. Florence Wong. Out of due respect, I shall not reveal anything else about her.
After my dental treatment - I would always talk a stroll down the road to reach Chinatown where I would visit my supplier, Mr Kenneth from Pan-In-The-Box. I would visit him whenever I have the chance to. The walk from the dental clinic to Chinatown Point was an enjoyable one. I would experience life in the city every time I walked around there. Suntec city could be seen in the horizon.
Back on story - today is the day I took out my braces AND the day my dentist had to leave National Dental Center. It was so coincidental, maybe too coincidental, that she had to leave on the day I took my braces out. I was planning on postponing the appointment this morning but fortunately, I changed my mind last minute and got to bid her farewell. Although sad that she won't be my dentist anymore - at least I know we will meet again someday. She really has done quite a good job with my teeth - I stopped getting nicknames and people would say that my teeth looks better nowadays.
I will remember this day as it caused a huge impact to my life. Imagine the possibilities if I did not had my teeth fixed - I would looked like a complete idiot. It would rot and decay. She ( and the whole of NDC ) had came to my life and saved my teeth. Now my teeth are one of my greatest assets and I'm damn proud of them.

SHOW REVIEW - BIG MONEY
Alright, for those of you interested in MONEY, this show is for you.
If not, it's still a pretty nice watch. This show closely relates to SOMETHING like Death Note - only it's like Money Note. Get it?

Anyway, I started watching this show a month ago and it taught me PLENTY of things I about STOCKS AND SHARE.
Yes, STOCKS AND SHARE. The thing about this show is - two clever young men are having a cold war over money. Like Death Note, the battle between Light and L closely relates to this.....except that it's more educational in a sense that they teach you the basics of Stocks and Shares.
Of course, to plenty ( I'm writing for my age group, young adults ), Stocks and Shares won't interest you very much BUT
What if I'm talking about MILLIONS AND BILLIONS AND TRILLIONS of money.
What if YOU can learn how to at least get the basics of stocks and share.
The show will make you go " WOWZERS " over how can a guy make $50000 SGD in 10 minutes just using a computer and a phone. And then, you'll see how money is lost and other stuffs like that.
Defiantly recommended if you love Death Note or Money. This show goes into a bit of Psychology, Revenge, Justice, Love, Emotions etc...

However, not only this show is about Stocks and Shares - it will RAISE your awareness on bank scams ( yes, like how many lost money from a bankrupt bank )and stuffs like that.

It's got its premises [Rating: 8/10]
The background to this drama is of course money, mostly in the form of stocks. But that is misleading because this drama is about revenge, justice, and getting even, and even goes a bit into the human psyche (but lots of J Dramas delve into that aspect anyway, it's just a matter of being blatant or not). It's entertaining in a way to see them talk about money in terms of billions of yen, as if money grew on trees. It's also interesting to see how they can try to bring down the antagonist and the bank as well. Again, don't watch this from a realist's position, but rather sit back and let this entertain you, and you just might enjoy it. It's got all the elements of an emotionally fast paced drama filled with cliffhangers each episode. There were misses of course, such as the irrelevent love story that sidetracked the plot, and worse, the seemingly impossibility of always going against the same bank every time. It's a typical root for the hero to win kind of drama.

Used the scroll saw to cut acrylic strips.
Acrylic strips broke and were not straight enough.
Changed to wooden stripes.
Wooden stripes works well.
Requested for 6 acrylics - 450x350.
Given 3 acrylics first.
Used sand paper on acrylics.
Used ruler to scrape the acrylics.
Used sand paper again on acrylics.

Alright so it has been like a few months after the previous meeting and I'm no longer nervous about it.
The first time I went for the guild outing ( at Paris; NOT THE CAPITAL OF FRANCE - but the high-class restaurent at the town area ) - I almost wanted to back out last minute. Alright, enough reminiscing. Time to move on to the present.
On that day I stood outside Guardian at Bugis MRT, waiting for Yun and Liang. They came 10mins after I came. Then we went to Mac and meet the rest of the group.

Majority of them were either working people or in University...then there was White, Blee and Mage who came all the way from Malaysia just for the outing.
The hilarious thing was - almost every by-passer would think that we're a family O_O
Well, that may be true, to a certain extend.
Either way the entire outing was fun. After the buffet we went to some mall in Bugis to " drink coffee " or something. More accurately - finding a place where we can sit down and chat.
Then..I took the MRT back with Ichi and Shenbin.

Goodbye.
...as I sit here reminiscing of the past, 11 years really flew past fast.
From the day I entered Primary School up till now - it all seems as though they happened just yesterday.
Time flies and it's going to fly even faster.
What will be the path that I lay foot to?
Where will be the point where I would reach my end?

Alright, here's something for my dear readers.
What do you guys think of when...

The only witness of the crime scene was a young boy who claimed he saw the crime happened WHEN HE WAS SLEEPING ? ( Astral projection )
Can a person really die from (electrical) shockwaves when in a swimming pool?( Necrosis )

How does fish falls from the sky AND ACTUALLY KILLS SOMEBODY ?
Does a heart transplant really changes the personality of the person?
Do poltergeist really exists?
I'll leave KIINA to answer that.
Kiina is a 29 year old woman who plays a part in the police force, in a special department called IMPOSSIBLE DEATHS, involving getting killed by a ghost and the fish raining from the sky thing.
Everybody around here finds her weird and there's no need for her as nobody ( really ) takes her seriously, except the victim of course.
Anyway, both show uses SCIENCE to deal with PARANORMAL cases and if you LOVE science and the PARANORMAL, I would recommend these shows.

MORE than 250,000 gaming enthusiasts thronged one of the biggest gaming and electronics fairs, Licence2Play, which was held over three days from last Friday.
After several days of gaming and cyberwellness talks, fans of the popular role-playing game MapleStory got to attend the official launch of its second episode yesterday at the Suntec Singapore International Convention and Exhibition Centre. They also picked up goodies such as in-game vouchers which they can use to buy decorative items in the game.
Student Patricia Eng, 16, had been trying to download the latest edition of MapleStory since last Wednesday, but managed to get it done only last Friday due to the huge number of people logging on.
At the fair, she bought two limited edition prepaid cards, which translate to virtual cash in the game. 'I'm very excited about Episode 2. It's now easier for me to kill monsters and complete quests.'
A MapleStory charity auction, where gamers placed bids to win five in-game weapons, also raised $18,230 for charity.
The money raised will be split equally between The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund and the Muscular Dystrophy Association (Singapore).
A director of a construction company, who wanted to be known only as Mr Yeo, 39, placed the highest bid of $6,950 to win a Dragon Purple Sleeve, a MapleStory in-game weapon, for his 13-year-old son. 'Any parent would do the same for their son as long as it's within their ability,' he said.
The first Licence2Play was organised by Sphere Exhibits, the lifestyle events arm of Singapore Press Holdings. Asiasoft GameFest 09 organised the MapleStory Episode 2 launch, auction and various other game tournaments.
Sphere Exhibits executive director Chua Wee Phong said the event gave parents a chance to gain an insight into their children's interests. 'Parents see that gaming is actually not as bad as they perceive it to be if it is done right. It is a very different world today and we must have outlets for these kids to have fun.'
Mr Teo Ser Luck, Senior Parliamentary Secretary at the Ministry Of Community Development, Youth and Sports, who opened the fair, urged parents to ensure their children are aware of responsible gaming. 'I think it's more important to teach children what are the things they should or should not see. But you also want to leave the choice to them.'

The name for our Famiglia has been chosen ( by council of 5 (Elvin, Ivan,Sherman,Chuan Teng and Daniel ) and it's decided to be...

The word is also used for the same event happening on other planets and in setting up a celestial coordinate system.
In astronomy, equinox is a moment in time at which the vernal point, celestial equator, and other such elements are taken to be used in the definition of a celestial coordinate system.

Anyway, since our Rings are associated to the Sky, Sun, Cloud, Mist, Lightning, Rain and Storm - referring them as Celestial would be appropriate...although the Famiglia name may change in time to come.

So I went to the Gamefest on Sunday, 25th May. Quite an interesting experience but I did not stay long, so I apologize for the half-written report.
I left my house at 5PM and met SOMEBODY ( actually 3: Sean (from 4-2), Faizal and that person ) at Yew Tee MRT station. Took the train to Jurong Interchange and then to City Hall MRT.
I went to take the nearest exit and arrived at Marina Square instead, then found my own way to Suntec using the REALLY LONG CUT. Either way, I got there.
When I arrived, I saw a bunch of people queuing up outside the hall for some maple items - I joined in the queue as well. Typical Singaporean :/
At first, they were really generous, giving you a Standee and a poster. Further down into the hall, they'll verify you and give you some coupons to redeem in-game items. I took the Pink Bean Cap ( maplestory ) and gave the rest to my friends ( there were coupons of SA, Audi, Rappelz and Cabal and whatevergamethatImissedouton ).
And this is where I was wrong - When I asked about the goodie bag, they said I had to buy 60k ACASH worth of Prepaid Card(s) to get that bag. I did'nt bring enough money with me ( In fact, I did'nt even know I had to pay ) - as it was FREE all along ( I went for all the maple anniversaries from the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and now the 4th ).
Anyway, I enjoyed myself nonetheless and took some pictures of the events, but the piece de resistance would be the Auction.
The following are what they auctioned off and the final price.
Maple Mushroom plush toy (ONLY ONE IN THE WORLD - or so they said.) - 370 used prepaidcards ( ppcs ), 3700 SGD.
Maple figurine tank - 260 used ppcs, 2600 SGD
Plushie collection - 600 used ppcs, 6000 SGD
Prepaid Cards collection ( ALL versions of the prepaid cards from start till now ) - 300 used ppcs, 3000 SGD
Maplestory Laptop ( This was a REAL EYE OPENER. Unfortunately, it seems that the specs of the Laptop are not so good. China brand laptop :/ ) - 500 used ppcs, 5000 SGD
A2 size ppc ( Yes, A2 size. Only 3 in the world ) - 1500 SGD

Family Name
Alright, since we can't get the name of our Family, maybe I should take the lead and decide. We'll go like this. We will have 5-8 people in the council which will have the power to vote Yes or Veto ( which means no ).
