Asiasoft Gamefest 2009 & Famiglia updates

Alright, I'll start with the Famiglia updates.

The name for our Famiglia has been chosen ( by council of 5 (Elvin, Ivan,Sherman,Chuan Teng and Daniel ) and it's decided to be...

--Equinox--

Meaning :

The word is also used for the same event happening on other planets and in setting up a celestial coordinate system.

In astronomy, equinox is a moment in time at which the vernal point, celestial equator, and other such elements are taken to be used in the definition of a celestial coordinate system.

Anyway, since our Rings are associated to the Sky, Sun, Cloud, Mist, Lightning, Rain and Storm - referring them as Celestial would be appropriate...although the Famiglia name may change in time to come.

Asiasoft Gamefest 2009

So I went to the Gamefest on Sunday, 25th May. Quite an interesting experience but I did not stay long, so I apologize for the half-written report.

I left my house at 5PM and met SOMEBODY ( actually 3: Sean (from 4-2), Faizal and that person ) at Yew Tee MRT station. Took the train to Jurong Interchange and then to City Hall MRT.

I went to take the nearest exit and arrived at Marina Square instead, then found my own way to Suntec using the REALLY LONG CUT. Either way, I got there.

When I arrived, I saw a bunch of people queuing up outside the hall for some maple items - I joined in the queue as well. Typical Singaporean :/

At first, they were really generous, giving you a Standee and a poster. Further down into the hall, they'll verify you and give you some coupons to redeem in-game items. I took the Pink Bean Cap ( maplestory ) and gave the rest to my friends ( there were coupons of SA, Audi, Rappelz and Cabal and whatevergamethatImissedouton ).

And this is where I was wrong - When I asked about the goodie bag, they said I had to buy 60k ACASH worth of Prepaid Card(s) to get that bag. I did'nt bring enough money with me ( In fact, I did'nt even know I had to pay ) - as it was FREE all along ( I went for all the maple anniversaries from the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and now the 4th ).

Anyway, I enjoyed myself nonetheless and took some pictures of the events, but the piece de resistance would be the Auction.

The following are what they auctioned off and the final price.

Maple Mushroom plush toy (ONLY ONE IN THE WORLD - or so they said.) - 370 used prepaidcards ( ppcs ), 3700 SGD.

Maple figurine tank - 260 used ppcs, 2600 SGD

Plushie collection - 600 used ppcs, 6000 SGD

Prepaid Cards collection ( ALL versions of the prepaid cards from start till now ) - 300 used ppcs, 3000 SGD

Maplestory Laptop ( This was a REAL EYE OPENER. Unfortunately, it seems that the specs of the Laptop are not so good. China brand laptop :/ ) - 500 used ppcs, 5000 SGD

A2 size ppc ( Yes, A2 size. Only 3 in the world ) - 1500 SGD

Dark Neschere ( 5 x 10% ) : 530 SGD

This was where I left the event. Unfortunately, I was not able to stay long due to school the next day :/

The next item was a Ribgol sword, and I bet that could easily skyrocketed to 1000 SGD. All the items are scrolled to godly stats, and if I could recall, last year some guy bided 5k SGD for a godly Claw ( dragon sleeve, if I recall )
